Berchtesgaden… again

Hey everyone!

I am so behind on blogging (as always) but I am trying to focus on Youtube a little bit and be able to make more videos. With that being said and getting it out of the way…. Mike and I went on one of our wonderful ausfluge- about a week or two ago. We ended up in route to Salzburg but decided to make a detour at Königssee and Berchtesgaden (Rossfeldpanoramastrasse). I have mentioned many many times that Berchtesgaden is BEAUTIFUL… and the definition of PERFECTION but what I have never mentioned is the fact that Königssee is one of the most breathtaking places in all of Bavaria/Germany.

It’s very hard for me to enjoy anything in Germany right now because the weather is really horrible. The temperature is painful for me and it just doesn’t bring the mood up but I have been trying my best to stay positive and push through. After our short *entertaining boat ride on Königssee (the captain played a little song on the trumpet…hopefully it was a trumpet and told us a wonderful story about the history that has to do with Bavaria/Königssee and so much more).

Afterwards we headed to Rossfeld and watched the sunset (Mike watched, I sat in the car sulking at the -11 degrees) and afterwards made our way to Salzburg to eat some of the best braised ribs I have ever had in my life.

Thank you so very much & lots of love from me to you!

Cheap Train Tickets Through Bayern

Hey you guys!

I have been traveling with the “trains” for quite some time here in Munich. You would think I know all the tricks… BUT, I still seem to surprise myself. Well I don’t surprise myself, the Deutsche Bahn seems to surprise me.

Basically, if you are coming to Munich/Bayern as a group (up to 5 people) anytime soon, and looking for a cheap way to travel I would recommend getting the Bayern-Ticket. Not only is it cheap, you can order it months beforehand and you can also get it at any DB ticket automat.

The ticket lets you travel throughout Bayern for the day for DIRT CHEAP. I mean….REALLY cheap. I bought the ticket once with 4 other girls and we took a trip to Salzburg (near Bavaria) and it cost 50 euros there and back for all 5 of us. Granted we could not take the ICE and had to take the regional trains BUT STILL 50euros for a round trip to another country is a great deal. There are so many places that are accessible with this ticket and so many places that you could visit. If you are thinking about traveling to Bavaria and wanting to visit many destinations/make multiple stops the Bayern ticket is one of your best bets. PLUS the views are amazing.

This table just shows the amount of people traveling (anzahl Reisende) and the difference between price and class (2. Klasse = Economy, 1. Klasse = First class, Nacht = evening train rides).

I hope you will have so much fun and wish you so much luck on your journey through Bavaria!!

Love, Hayley ❤

Linderhof Castle

Good evening friends and random people that read my blog for no apparent reason….Yeah you know I am talking about you 😉 Today’s wonderful post is going to be (if you did not read the title…I pity you) about The Linderhof Castle. I can not really say that much about it because A) I wasn’t really paying attention to the lady on tour B) It was too cold and C) a lot of things were closed due to the sh*t weather or renovation/reconstruction stuff.

The castle itself is “small” compared to the other castles here in Bavaria…. I am on a mission to see as many as possible….I might be lying to ya’ll but FORREAL I AM TRYING. It’s a good hour away from Munich itself and I would recommend going in summer but it’s still beautiful in winter. There are restrooms and there is a restaurant that looked…. “inviting”. Castles make for great day trips here in southern Germany….SOOOO If you’re looking for an ausflug away from the hustle and bustle of Munich with great scenery, this place is worth the trip ❤

BAYERN

Good Evening Friends ❤

This past Saturday I was riding all around a winter wonderland. I really love Munich, Bayern, Bavaria…ETC ETC. It is seriously one of the most majestic and beautiful places this world has to offer. I am not too happy with the lack of snow BUT hopefully that will come some time very soon! Aside from being in the car going 100+ on the country back roads, I was able to see such beautiful scenery! From Kochlsee to Tegernsee to Wallgau to Jachenau.

I plan to have a video uploaded sometime next year about riding/driving in Germany..We shall see how that goes! I hope yall have a wonderful weekend and Happy Early 4th Advent!

Hiking in Germany

Good Morning you early birds!

I mean it is officially 8:21am as I begin to write this blog post and I feel quite unmotivated. I literally still have my pajamas on after being awake since 6am :/ *Goals*.

A few days ago I had a wonderful opportunity to go hiking….. More like lets kill Hayley hiking. The mountain is called Jochberg and according to Wikipedia (best source ever) is 1,567 meters high 😀 I seriously have been underestimating hiking. I do not understand how people are able to wake up at 7am and walk up a big ole hill. I am from Florida… The most hiking we do is barefoot from the beach to the bar to get another Pina Colada (seriously, no joke). So when I showed up in jeans, Nike Air Max and a Michael Kors sweater I felt a little out of place compared to the people in their Patagonia, super dri fit technology sportswear -_-

While reading this you are probably thinking, why the hell are you complaining so much woman? ALL YOU DO IS COMPLAIN! I promise I will stop complaining in about 2 sentences time. Aside from my legs still aching and body pain I am very happy and proud that I made it to the top. I don’t know how to explain the feeling, it’s like you are standing on top of the world (Bavaria at least). I think I was also very lucky with the weather, it was seriously a beautiful “summer” day. Out of our group… I was the slowest, I was the person who complained the most and I was the only one taking pictures. “Insgesamt” it took about 2 hours to go up and down (I was dying and running downhill). I can finally X it off of my to-do list (yes hiking in the alps was on my to-do list). If you are ever in the area and are looking for a good “beginner friendly” hike Jochberg is the place for you!

love yall

Auf Wiedersehen ❤
